Welcome back to our first game of the season. The day promised so much with beautiful weather, course in fine condition with a challenge on most greens. Of course with narrow fairways and tall trees it was always going to be a trap for the unwary. A good turnout for the start of the season and not sure if it was the course or the handicapper as the vast majority of players fell just short of par. Not so for the winner who kept bemoaning how poor his game was but still managed to post a score of 41. Look out Merv, the handicapper has a habit of reigning them in. Second and third managed to make par and the remainder found difficulties everywhere. It will only improve as we get into the season with more games and practice.
