Weather good, turnout good, course good (ground hard – lack of rain), golf – lets say 29 points was popular. Still two managed to break par with 39 points and once again Nick coming to the fore, edging out Russell on a countback. Well done both. The course was in very good condition considering the lack of rain over the past couple of months, but from what I had observed many of our players were often heading to the trees. Looking for shade perhaps? With the fine weather, it gave us the opportunity to show off our latest club shirt, which had been presented by our sponsor prior to the start. Downside of the day was that the club does not allow for private buggys on the course but did not have sufficient available therefore costing us some members for the day (had been advised they were on stand-by). Only one more competition game for the year so hope to have a good turnout and see you there as well.
