A hot and humid day at the office not helped by slow play from the groups in front which ended with the round taking 5 hours 20 minutes. Good thing they were in carts or we may have had to return to finish our game. Still it was very stifling with some players glad to see the 19th. We need our members to stay healthy so they can return for more games. It is only a game and if you need to withdraw it is preferable to do that rather than suffer heat stroke, sunburn or other illnesses as your health is more important.Remember, always take plenty of fluids and stay hydrated. Undoubtedly the conditions had a contributing effect on the play with even those who usually play well on this course having high scores. Well done for our winner Tim who fared best returning a respectable 74. Welcome to our new member James who returned his third card at F airfield.
